Hello,

my config:

SunFire V20z AMD64
SLES9 + SP1 x86_64 (and all SuSE Updates)
10g (10.0.1.3)

orarun-1.8-109.5

new installation (less problems with the LD_ASSUME_KERNEL)

With dbca I have created a new instance  b1

Wenn I will start the instance with
/etc/init.d/oracle start

in the include script
/opt/oracle/ora10/bin/dbstart

the startup command will not use the correct password. The dbca will put the
password for the instance in the file /opt/oracle/ora10/dbs/orapwb1 but I don't
found in the script where this passwd file will be read.

the error message is:
QL*Plus: Release 10.1.0.3.0 - Production on Thu May 19 10:43:38 2005

Copyright (c) 1982, 2004, Oracle.  All rights reserved.

SQL> ERROR:
ORA-01031 (See ORA-01031.ora-code.com): insufficient privileges

Is this a problem from the script from orarun ?
Or from my configuration ?

How have anybody solved this problem

regards
Reinhard Weh
